Want to get away from everyday life and experience something new? Why not walk the old pilgrimage route El Camino de Santiago ...
Take a photo journey of St. Bridget's footsteps on the "Camino Francés" - the French ranks. It stretches about 80 mil from Roncesvalles in Navarre in northern border with France to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia.
The map above is from Google Maps , click on image to enlarge, opens in a new window. The annual pilgrimage trail is not as straight as the path of the red line above, where there is marked between the larger towns.
The purpose of this article is not to give any depth characterization of the pilgrim route to Santiago. Instead, I made some photo pages from the trail. For more detailed information, see the external links pilgrimage .
