Fried green peppers - Pimientos verdes fritos
Pimientos verdes fritos are easy to prepare and very tasty! The fried peppers are ideal as tapa, but is also very good to serve with grilled meat or fish.

This type of elongated sweet peppers called pimientos italianos (Italian peppers) in Spain, and they are excellent for frying.
Ingredients:
- 4-8 green peppers
- olive oil
- salt
Here's how:
- Rinse and dry the peppers.
- Heat plenty of oil in a pan and fry the peppers over high heat so that they get a little color around. Reduce the heat and let the peppers cook with the lid until it is soft.
- Salt to taste.
- Remove peppers and place them on a plate.
- Served hot or cold, optionally in its own kokspad of the sandwich which can be used for dipping the aromatic peppers broth.
Another variant of green pepper is Pimientos the Padrones , who has more bite than the above recipe.

The fried peppers are ready for serving. 1-2 peppers per person usually about right.
