Buena Vista Social Club came down like a bomb and suddenly got a whole range of Cuban musicians finally the international attention they deserve. One of them is the cowboy hat bearing Buena Vista guitarist and singer Eliades Ochoa!

New look
So I finally made the decision. A different kind of Spain must be pulled up firmly. I've been LOUSY at refreshing the page, and maybe it is time as the site actually has its tenth anniversary next year!
Said and done, here it is in a completely new format, namely as the blog. It has taken some time to transfer all the old material, while I have got a much needed check on the old links work. Some pages are completely removed and the English version will be removed completely. Instead, with the help of Google get the page translated to English and Spanish (see links at right).
As a blogging tool dating posts as you write them so it is obviously a bit tricky with old items that are booked again. I have tried as best they can for reconnaissance when they were written and put in a first publication date at the bottom of articles. Sometimes I succeed worse, in that the posts in 2000 and before that when I used the Macintosh, the old faithful has to retire and articles originating date with the 
Another big task that remains is to scan all the old photos. Many of these were published when people surfed with regular phone line and it was essential that the images would be so small and light as possible. Here, I will work bit by bit, it will probably take her little while, so you have to put up with substandard images so far.

Grilled tiger prawns - Langostinos a la plancha
Lagnostinos a la plancha is a delicacy that is ideal for tapas table and is very easy to prepare. They can also be served as an appetizer. Do not use shrimp that's fine with the usual shrimp, larger model. Gambas a la plancha called right because then in Spanish.
In most of the original recipe does not include garlic, but personally I think it enhances the taste.
Tiger prawns are ready for serving
Ingredients, 4 persons tapa:
- about 500 grams of raw, unpeeled shrimp (2-3 pieces per person)
- coarse salt
- olive oil
- 1 lemon
- sliced flat-leaf parsley for garnish.
- 2 cloves garlic (optional)
- about 1 cup white wine (optional)
Here's how:
- Pour about 1/2 - 1 cup olive oil in a frying pan, heat the oil.
- Add 2 garlic cloves, if desired.
- Add the prawns in the pan and sprinkle with coarse salt.
- Grill the tiger prawns in more than 1 minute on each side. If the common shrimp is so reduce the time further.
- Squeeze half a lemon and pour the white wine if desired. Stir and remove the pan from the heat.
- Add the prawns on a serving dish and garnish with parsley. Cut the rest of the lemon into wedges that can be squeezed over the prawns for those who wish. One tip: Always keep baby wipes on hand afterwards for shrimp are the easiest to eat with your hands.
